This beautiful yarn was hand dyed in rural Sussex, using acid dyes for a colourfast finish. The colours are really lovely together, and create festive stripes of deep pink, green, light pink and yellow, which have all been speckled with complementary colours - the pinks both have red and pink speckles, and the green and yellow both have bright and dark green speckles. I have wound the yarn into a gobstopper ball to show off the stripes. The mini is a matching speckled yellow.
The yarn is an 85% Superwash Merino, 15% Nylon blend with 400m per 100g, and is lovely and soft with great stitch definition. It is available in the following sets.
- 100g skein with a 20g mini
- 50g gobstopper ball with a 20g mini
The 50g gobstopper ball is perfect for zero waste socks - I recommend working the socks toe up to ensure that you have enough yarn for the foot, and then working the leg with the remaining yarn. There is plenty of yarn in the mini for cuffs, heels and toes. Simply weigh the ball and stop knitting the first sock when you have just over half the yarn left.
I have tried to capture the colours as accurately as possible, however there may be slight variations in the colours as shown on your screen.
This yarn should be hand washed in cool water, then dried flat for the best results.
