This beautiful yarn was hand dyed in rural Sussex, using acid dyes for a colourfast finish. The colours are really lovely together, and create stripes of grey and yellow.
*Please note that due to the pandemic your yarn may arrive as a skein rather than a gobstopper ball. This is so that the parcels fit into my local post box rather than me having to visit the local town*
The yarn is 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, and is a 4ply or fingering weight. It has approximately 210m in the 50g ball, and 84m in the 20g mini. There is enough in a single skein to knit a pair of socks, and you will get stripes of around 4 rows each, as shown in the knitted sample in the photos.
This listing is for a smaller 50g skein of the self striping yarn, and you should have very little leftover from knitting a pair of adult ladies socks. I would advise knitting them toe up, and finishing the first sock once you have 25g of yarn left so you know you’ll have enough for the second sock. There is plenty of yarn in the mini for toes, heels and cuffs.
I have tried to capture the colours as accurately as possible, however there may be slight variations in the colours as shown on your screen.
This yarn should be hand washed in cool water, then dried flat for the best results.
